This policy explains what personal data we collect on this website and in Protobase Cloud, why we use it, and who else processes it.

1. Who we are

RIJX B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 87965690, at Zinkstraat 24, 4823AD Breda, the Netherlands, is responsible for the personal data described here (“we”, “us”).

2. This website

  • protobase.net sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or third-party scripts. Its fonts are served from this site.
  • The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the pages you request in order to serve them.

3. What Protobase Cloud stores

  • Your account: your email address, or the account details GitHub shares when you sign up with GitHub; your workspace address; and the organizations, members, invitations and roles you set up.
  • Your apps: each app’s own Postgres database, its files, its code, and its deploy and update history.
  • The assistant: your questions, the plans it proposes, your approvals, and the tasks it runs.
  • Support and activity: the support tickets you open, and the activity log of your account.
  • Sign-in: to keep you signed in, the console and your apps keep a session in your browser.

4. People who use your apps

  • The people you let into your apps sign in to them, and your apps store what you designed them to store. You decide what your apps collect and why; we host them for you.
  • Emails your apps send, such as sign-in codes and password resets, go out from your app’s own address.

5. Why we use it

  • To run Protobase Cloud: to sign you in, host and deploy your apps, run the assistant, send the emails the service needs, and answer support requests.
  • To keep it secure: for example, every staff sign-in to an app is logged.

6. Who else processes it

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and stores your apps’ files.
  • GitHub, when you sign in with GitHub or keep an app’s code there: GitHub shares your account details with us, and we read the repository to build your app and write to it when you approve a change from the assistant.
  • An AI model provider processes your messages to the assistant, and the parts of your app’s code, schema and data the assistant uses to answer them.

7. Staff access

Protobase staff can sign in to an app as one of its users only to help, with a permission of their own, a written reason and a recent second factor. Each staff sign-in is logged, the app shows a banner while it lasts, and the app’s admins can switch staff access off.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your account and your apps’ data while your account is open. To close your account and have its data deleted, email [email protected].

9. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email [email protected] or [email protected].

10. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top.
