  • One theme file per app sets 32 tokens for light and dark: colours, the corner radius and fonts, including the client’s own.
  • Deeper changes replace a part with a plugin, such as the record card or a field type.
  • Start each app from the ERP, the real estate app or an empty project, and shape it from there.

How the assistant works

  • A client asks for a change, and the assistant answers with a plan and its price before anything runs.
  • Nothing changes until it is approved, and every change passes typecheck, tests, the build and protobase doctor before it deploys.
  • Tasks also show inside the client’s app, under Protobase Cloud.

Your team

Your team in one organization

In the Protobase Cloud console, an organization holds your members and invitations. Besides owner, admin and member, people can hold roles for billing, development, management or accounting.

Handover

Hand over an ordinary project

  • The code is an ordinary Protobase project in a GitHub repository, plain TypeScript in small files.
  • The framework is Apache-2.0, so a client can run the same app on their own servers with the same runtime.
  • The docs and an Agent Skill are public, for the client’s own developers and their coding agents.

Open source and self-hosting

  • Run each client’s app from one folder, with the runtime file on Bun or the Docker image.
  • As the operator, your team can sign in as a client’s user to help them, through your own identity provider and with a recent second factor.
  • Each staff session needs a written reason, lasts 30 minutes, shows a banner and is logged. The client’s admins can switch it off, or have the person emailed each time.
